Korean New Years dinner party.

The one American dish: my salad. :) Romaine with slivered almonds, dried cranberries, red bell pepper and a light honey balsamic vin dressing.

Mom's spicy broccoli dish.

Mom's amazing buckwheat noodle salad.

Grandma's pot-stickers.

Mom's kimchi.

Mom's shrimp and veggies.

Dad's bulgogi.

Sooo amazing! I love when my parents have Korean dinner parties! Happy New Year!!! :)

Panda Express, North Point, Spokane.

My cousin Jae just got here from S. Korea.. and I definitely took him to Panda Express to experience his first American fast food! Haha. He loved it! :) He had never had a fortune cookie before because that is also very American!

I used to always get white rice and orange chicken, but now I'm really loving the Beijing beef. It's amazing.

Post-Christmas Italian dinner at NB's, Manito, Spokane.

I think this is the best Christmas tree I've ever seen. I love how perfectly delicate it is.

NB has the smallest microwave. Aw, it's very cute.

NB's mother's cioppino.

This was my first cioppino, in fact--I, know, I'm a bad San Franciscan! This is a holiday tradition for NB and it was absolutely delicious. A hearty soup with lots of beautiful seafood--perfect for NB, since he's a pesca-vegan. ;)

Vegan apple pie.

If they hadn't told me, I wouldn't have known it was vegan. I've had my share of vegan baked goods and I usually come out quite disappointed, but this blew me away. I would actually make this pie over normal apple pie! I've requested the recipe from NB's mother, so I'll be able to make my own soon!

Heart sprinkles, Downtown, Spokane.

While browsing around the Kitchen Engine, I found these amazing sprinkles! They will go on my Valentine's Day cupcakes, of course! I'm ecstatic about it because they're larger than most heart sprinkles I've seen. You can't really tell, but each heart is about 1/2" x 1/2". I'm really getting into unique sprinkles. ;)

Sushi apron from Made in Washington, Downtown, Spokane.

Nice. ;)

Boxing Day brunch at Frank's Diner, Downtown, Spokane.

I had the American Benedict with extra crispy hashbrowns. Always, extra crispy hashbrowns. ;)

I don't know what Roy got, but it looked pretty tasty!

I heart Frank's Diner, but Wall Street Diner is still my faves in Spokane.

A very Korean Christmas dinner.

Mommy and I made sushi, dumplings, noodles, kimchi, bulgogi, and lots of other yummy Korean dishes! I love being Asian. :)

Gingerbread House, North Side, Spokane.

I heard some of these kits are really gross, but this one was delicious! Well, I think it was delicious--I was too full after lunch to actually have any.. ;)

I made my my future husband!!! He's smokin' hot and quite tasty, of course! ;)

I had to leave early so I didn't get to see the finished house, but I'm sure it was gorgeous!

Christmas Eve lunch with the Storms, North Side, Spokane.

Our beautiful hostess, Kathy, with the lovely flower arrangement! :)

Very Christmasy table setting. :)

Warm apple cider. Mmmmmmmm.

Kathy and Caitie had been doing some holiday baking! :)

Broccoli with parmesan.

Salmon bake!

My plate: Kathy's famous salad, broccoli, salmon bake, wild rice pilaf. All SO amazing. :)

Yummy treats at the Rockwood Bakery, Manito, Spokane.

Some high school friends and I got together at the Rockwood Bakery for a little gift exchange. We had lunch, too, but I was starving and forgot to take photos! Haha.. The desserts here are always amazing though!

Like a delicious little cloud! :)

Dinner at Dockside, Coeur d'Alene, ID.

I got the pasta trio. It was pretty good. I liked the penne pesto-gorgonzola (right) the best. The bread there was amazing, too. Haha. I love when restaurants have great bread! :)

The lights at the resort are soo pretty!

Love! :)

Christmas: Red velvet mini cupcakes with peppermint cream cheese frosting.

Last time I did red velvet I didn't use enough food coloring so this time I used tooooons! :)

I super love my mini-cupcake pan. It's the best.. but it does make millions.. ;)

DIY pastry bag. ;) I just did a basic cream cheese frosting and mixed in some peppermint extract.

I'm actually pretty impatient so I like to frost cupcakes right away. The cupcakes are still warm obviously, so the frosting doesn't turn out the best! Haha..

Soo many cupcakes!

All really to be eaten! :)

Cupcake Mixes: White Chocolate with Raspberry and Yellow with Chocolate.

These are interesting cupcake mixes that come with frosting mixes, too! I haven't tried them yet, but will post on that later..

Perfect White Elephant: Baconnaise.

I saw this stuff in the store awhile back and had Michelle get it as her White Elephant gift! Haha. So great. I am curious as to how this stuff tastes though..

Lunch at Clink's, Downtown, Spokane.

Cajun chicken pasta and yummy salad.

Wild rice vegetable medley with balsamic reduction pita sandwich.

Sautee Red bell pepper, green bell pepper, yellow onion in oil and water. Add wild rice, artichoke hearts, sausage slices, and garlic.

Add black pepper and balsamic vinegar.

On a toasted pita with a little parmasan reggiano cheese.

So yummy! I had this as a pita sandwich, but it's great alone or cold as a vegetable salad. Also, hold the sausage to make a fabulous vegetarian meal!
