Cupcake Felicity's special birthday delivery, DC.

Since I couldn't be there to celebrate with him, I thought I'd send NB some vegan cupcakes for his birthday! I researched DC vegan baked goods high and low and finally decided on Felicity's! I'm so glad I did, too, because she was a pleasure to work with and, although I didn't get to try one, I heard they were delicious!

The flavors I chose were Chai Tea and Chocolate Mousse with Raspberry. They both look fantastic! And her prices were so reasonable, too!

Thank you SO much, Felicity! And happy birthday, NB! :)

Kingdom Cake mini cupcakes at Indie Mart, Thee Parkside, Potrero Hill, SF.

Peanut butter banana and blueberry basil! They were both delicious! I didn't really taste the basil, but they were both yums!

We got these while I was on break from my Bake Sale at Indie Mart! Thanks for the amazing treats, Franklin!

Yummy treats at the Nooworks New Boutique Launch, Mission, SF.

Amazing little cupcakes and tons of beers, of course, at the Nooworks New Store Opening! I met so many fabulous people here!

This is my favorite photo from the evening. It was such a fun party and the space looks absolutely amazing! My article will go up next week, but for now, here are my event photos on SF Station!

SusieCakes Sock Hop Grand Opening Party, Marina, SF.

SusieCakes has branched out of LA and opened shop in the Marina! I was invited out to the opening Sock Hop party, which was so fun. I took photos for work and the whole album can be viewed here: SF Station SusieCakes Sock Hop. Enjoy!

Susie, handing out free treats!

Mmmmm... stacks of delicious cupcakes.

Whoopie pie and banana pudding--both were unbelievable! There's a banana slice in the pudding--mmmm!

They had these super cute cake spatula magnets--LOVE!

Behind the counter.

Mmmmm...

I'm excited to go back and grab some more goodies!

"Tuxedo Night" surprise birthday with cake from Miette, The Bigfoot, Russian Hill, SF.

The birthday card I made for my bestie, Pat! :) When I found out he didn't have anything planned for his birthday this year, I decided to throw him a surprise birthday party! The perfect theme dropped into my lap...

Pat loves the TV show How I Met Your Mother, and this inside joke/theme night they have is "Tuxedo Night"! So Pat and a few of his mates had been wanting to do a "Tuxdeo Night" of their own for awhile and this was the perfect occasion! I schemed with one of his good friends and made it so that they were going for "Tuxedo Night" with three close friends, but then the rest of us would be waiting at a bar, in tuxes, of course!

While we were waiting at The Bigfoot, we decided to take some photos. :) Everyone looks FABULOUS!

And here is the Birthday Boy!! He was VERY surprised! It was funny because as I was getting ready, he texted asking if I could join them for dinner! I wanted to so badly, too, cause I was starving! Hah! I was very excited that he didn't know about the surprise though! He was thrilled and I'm so glad I could help make his birthday a happy one! :)

The beautiful Vanilla Tomboy cake from Miette, one of my favorite local bakeries.

And cupcakes from my friend Audrey!

Mmmmm! The cake was VERY GOOD! The cupcakes were nice, too, but the frosting tasted too much like straight cream cheese to me.

The famous "Sasquatch" at the Big Foot. It'll do the trick.. ;)

Birthday strawberry-lemon layered cake and layered cupcakes with coconut cream cheese frosting.

Lemon cake. Strawberry cake now in the oven..

Strawberry and lemon cupcakes.

Strawberry cream cheese filling frosting.

Sliced cupcakes.

Frosted and put back together with alternate tops and bottoms!

And frosted!

Lemon cake, sliced in half.

Strawberry cake, sliced in half and top cut off (because of the dome).

So the layers went strawberry, lemon, strawberry, lemon, with the strawberry cream cheese frosting between each layer.

Frosted with coconut cream cheese frosting and sprinkles!

Side. :)

Sliced and served later at my post-birthday, Lost finale party! I gave the cupcakes to people, after dinner, who weren't attending the Lost party so everyone got some birthday cake! :)

Giant and mini Crumbs cupcakes from LA.

Giant crumbs cupcake the tiny one next to it! Haha, so cute! April's parents came up from LA and brought these great cupcakes up for us! Moist and delish! :) The assorted minis all look amazing!

Carrot cake muffins with pineapple coconut cream cheese frosting.

I was in a pinch so I grabbed a box carrot cake mix and used this recipe (sans rasins) to give it a homemade touch. :) It made two full batches!

Definitely more muffiny than I was going for. They were okay.. I would add more crushed pineapple and some carrot and zucchini next time.

Of course I didn't take a photo of the frosting! :( Again, I was in rush, so I bought a cream cheese frosting and then added pineapple juice and coconut flakes. The flavor was there, but it was a little bit runny so I added a bit more powdered sugar to thicken it up. In the above photo they were just frosted--still a bit warm, I'm afraid. They are in the fridge right now to get the frosting back it's proper thickness. :)

Oh, I just topped them with some pecan nibs.

Valentine's Day Cupcakes!

I took a bunch of photos, but they aren't uploading correctly, which is really scaring me! I hope everything is okay with my camera. Luckily, this one turned out!

I did red velvet cupcakes with white chocolate cream cheese frosting and my candy heart sprinkles, of course! The frosting is pretty awesome. :)

Happy Valentine's day, everyone!

Superbowl eats 2010.

Mini pizza app from Trader Joe's. Very good. We had these to calm our hunger before game time food!

Puff pastry smokies. These were delicious.

Chiiicken. Baked and then smothered in BBQ sauce.

Okay, so we baked potatoes, scooped out potato and set it aside, and then filled the skins with a pre-made mashed potato mix. The mashed potato mix included: horseradish, bacon, chives, sour cream, cheese.

Topped with more cheese and baked! Then topped with some fresh chives and a dollop of sour cream. Pretty darn yummy.

Brynne's cupcakes! Brynne is an amazing baker who worked at Michael Mina and Kara's Cupcakes! Very cool. I was so excited to get her cupcakes. She thought the Saint's were red though so baked red and blue (Colts) cupcakes! :)

Brynne, frosting.

Fooooondant.

Go Colts! :(

Cute.

Silver dusted.

Cheese-on-every-chip nachos with pepper-jack, chorizo..

Black beans, chicken, tomato, red onion. This photo is pre-baked. Most of these are because when the food came out I was so hungry that I was buy eating and not shooting! :)

SoCo, amaretto, ginger ale, frozen lime. This was amazing.

My plate.

Devoured! That was one of the best salads I have had in a long time. I'm going to have to get the recipe, which I guess is from a veeery old cookbook! And the cupcake was pretty darn tasty, too! :)

Louis with the new deep-fryer!

Ooooh man! Potato chips--turned out so well.

Fried pickles on the right.

Mmmmm. I didn't try the pickle, but the little rolls were great! And Niki's aioli was great, too--she put in a bit of Siracha!

Beignet mix from the famous Cafe Du Monde!

I guess the mix wasn't turning out quite right..

Frying..

Rolled in cinnamon-sugar. They were yummy, but not fluffy like beignets. They were a little bit more churro-ish, but I didn't mind! :)

There was a lot more food, too, but I didn't get to take photos of everything--lots of hands in a cramped kitchen with lots of hungry sports fans! :) It was good times though with good food, good people, and a good game. :) Thanks, Niki & Louis!
