Brunch at Red Door Cafe, Lower Pacific Heights SF.

Haha--cute.

French toast with seasonal berries and banana.

You have to at least get the banana here--they fry it nicely, which makes it even more delicious! Their French toast is truly the best I've had. They do something to it to make it slightly crispy--I think maybe put brown sugar in the batter and it caramelizes? I don't know what exactly it is, but it's ammmmazing!

Roll my Cuban.

Mmmmm! I didn't get a great shot of the bamboo skewer tower, but it was awesome--great presentation, great food. Richard is a total food snob, too, and this was his dish. He loved it! :) I'm 2 for 2 now! ;)

Grizzlidilla.

Smoked salmon and lots of other yummy things in this huuuge quesadilla! Their house salsa is SO yummy and was perfect with this!

Dahn's dish--can't remember what it's called, but it's basically the Red Door's take on the standard American breakfast--2 eggs, 2 sausages, 2 slices of toast. ;) Dahn's not really a breakfast guy either, but he loved this!

I don't remember what this was called either, but it was basically an open faced breakfast sandwich and it looked great!

The Red Door continues to shine. Love it. Love Ahmed (owner).

Cha Cha Cha, Upper Haight, SF.

Shredded chicken quesadilla! I had never had shredded meat in a quesadilla before and it was excellent! It made it more burrito-like and yummmy!

Steak sandwich. Also, very nice. I hadn't had steak in a sandwich in a really, really long time. Yummy and the bread was so nice, too! So crucial for a great sandwich. :) The potatoes were fine, but the aioli they gave us was just a bit eh.

Kat and I went running at Golden Gate Park and then were starved! We decided to hit up the Haight--which I, sadly, don't know too well! Cha Cha Cha was the busiest place on the block, so we went there. Fun lunch spot and very different from the Mission location! The food was great though. :)

Best kept secret brunch: Red Door Cafe, Lower Pacific Heights, SF.

A special half order of the French toast! The French toast is their most popular dish, so we had to try it! I don't normally loooove French toast from restaurants, but this was divine. It's cut into little strips, which is great and the bread they use is sooo amazing! The toasted banana and maple syrup really completed the yummy eggy bread! Haha.

The Cuban quesadilla! This was soo sooo yummy. Their pico de gallo is amazing and the tortillas are special--very green and delicious.

Open-faced croissant with brie, ham, tomatoes, basil, capers, yummy, yummy, and yummy. There was a really nice vinaigrette sauce with it, too. Lovely dish.

I can't believe I didn't know about this place until now! It's just up the street from me and it doesn't have a load of Yelp reviews (surprisingly enough!), but apparently the weekend wait can me up to 2 hours! This is definitely my new favorite brunch spot. The food is spectacular and I didn't walk out feeling like I was going to have a heart attack or slip into a food coma. I was just very happy! :)

Agave Bistro, Downtown, Spokane, WA.

Ceviche. Not Judi's favorite. Not mine either, but it wasn't bad. The paprika chips there are nice--I like the long strips for dipping/eating. It definitely wasn't your typical light ceviche though. Even from the look it's quite dark and quite salsa-like for a ceviche.

Prawn salad. This was an amazing latin dance party in my mouth--mmmm!

Wild boar. Very nice. The boar was tender, flavorful and went nicely with the light beans, rice and slaw.

I had been wanting to try Agave Bistro for awhile now so I'm very glad I finally have! The interior definitely could be better, but Ian Wingate (of Moxie) didn't disappoint me with the food. It's definitely in my Top 10 Spokane restaurants, and I want to go back--now! :) The menu was large and stimulating. The portions were a well sized (At Moxie, too!) and the flavors are a breath of fresh air for Spokane.

Dinner at La Casa del Mojito, Roosevelt, Seattle.

I get a chance to take a photo of my salad, so here is a photo from their website.

I got the Ensalada Caribena and it was a fabulous, light dinner. Everything else there looked pretty heavy to me. I wouldn't trek out there again to go there, but the place was okay. Cute little building, a little hard to get to, and strange hours.
