But! Much to my surprise, there was a fabulous wine tasting there today so I decided to stop and meet a couple co-workers there before heading into the office!
My boss, Chris, chose this bottle out of the chaos and it turned out to be a nice, easy, red with bubbles! ;)
Anthony Mangieri, workin' that oven! Una Pizza Napoletana takes "minimalism" to a whole new level--it's actually kind of refreshing, it's just a big space with high ceilings and this beautiful oven. :)
Neapolitan style margherita pizza. Beautiful. Delicious. Super yummy crust--that isn't burnt! I learned this just recently, but the crust on Neapolitan style pizzas are meant to be browned spotty. But okay, this one may be a tiny bit burnt on the bottom, but the top half is perfect! ;)

Lunch with Tae at Slow Club, Potrero Hill, SF.
grilled flatbread
sheep's milk mozzarella, smoked bacon,
roasted summer squash & caramelized onions $10.00
roasted summer squash & caramelized onions $10.00
Slow Club has been on my list forever, but I never get out to Potrero! Luckily, I was heading out there to interview Tae Kim, President/Founder of Alite Designs, so we grabbed lunch before. The flatbread was very good.
burger
prather ranch dry aged ground beef, tomatoes,
greens, balsamic onions, dijon mustard, aioli
& cheddar, swiss or jack cheese,
served with french fries $11.50
We shared the burger, too, which was also excellent--well cooked, with soft bread.
We also grabbed one of their huge chocolate chip cookies! Mmmm!
Check out my Alite article on SF Station!
A HUGE thank you for everything, Tae! :)

Homemade flatbread pizza with burrata.
Trader Joe's flatbread rounds make such great pizza crust! They get nice and crispy, but with some chew, too. :) On top I put some homemade marinara sauce with ground beef. I topped that with the beautiful burrata and chopped basil. This was pretty great. I'm super excited to start making more burrata pizzas!

California Pizza Kitchen salad and Escape From New York Pizza.
Joe had some leftover pizza from Escape from New York and was raving about it so I had to try some. It was really very good.

Amazing dinner at Delarosa, Marina, SF.
Appetizer courtesy of Delarosa. This was ridiculously good. I know I never stop talking about how much I love eggplant, but this was really something else. Lovely.
I overheard a guy telling his friend the Fava bean bruschetta and the meatballs were killer. Then I asked our server what she recommended and, right off the bat, she said the same two apps! We went with those and they were both fabulous!
I don't know how they grate the cheese into this beautiful cloud over the bruschetta, but the textures and tastes were all right on!
Okay, I wouldn't say the marinara was spicy--really, it wasn't, but the meatballs and sauce were both fantastic.
Margherita with burrata 15
We ordered the Margherita with burrata and added panchetta--SO GOOD. Move over Delfina! There's a new thin crust pizza joint and it's good. Everything about this pizza was wonderful--the cheese was perfect, the sauce and dough were excellent, the basil was fresh and the panchetta was heaven. I'm already craving this pizza again!
Coppa Mocha 7
Coffee gelato, crème anglaise, chocolate sauce, candied almond, and meringue
Beautiful. Delicious. This whole dinner just kept getting better right down to this dessert. The coffee flavors weren't those muted frappuccino flavors you get with other coffee ice creams--they were real, and the texture of the gelato was spot on, too. The meringue was crumbled up as a topping, which is such a fabulous idea!
Delarosa is one of those spots that you'll keep going back to. That and every time you go back you'll want to order everything you had last time because it was so delicious, but you'll also want to order all new dishes because you know they are going to rock your world! Now, that's my kind of restaurant. ;)
A very special thanks to Lauren at Rivera PR and Delarosa for the fabulous reservation and for the drink and app! Rivera--you guys are always SO fabulous and represents the hottest spots! :)
Uvaggio wine pairings at Ristobar, Marina, SF.
A special thanks to Lauren Eastman & Associates, Rivera PR, Uvaggio and Ristobar for the fun tasting!

South Perry Pizza, Spokane, WA.
Spring mix, candied walnuts, bleu cheese crumbles, red onions, red grapes, blue cheese vinaigrette
This salad was huge for $5! Gosh, I love eating in Spokane. You really get some bang for your buck. This salad was seriously delicious, too. Just like something I would make at home with the red grapes. :)
Artichoke 12olive oil, feta, mozzarella, kalamata olives, roasted red peppers + pesto
We couldn't choose between the Artichoke and the Pesto pizzas so we got the Artichoke with some pesto! Seriously yummy. Very good crust, and AMAZING portions for the price! This was a pretty large pie and for only $12.
$20 with tax and tip and more than enough for two to share! Ridiculous! Amazing! Haha. I'm SO excited to eat here again next time I'm in Spokane!

A big win for brunch at The Wynn, The Strip, Las Vegas.
Brunch at the Wynn really was the best. There was a great selection, great presentation, fresh ingredients, edgier food, and everything was pretty yummy! Definitely better than The Bellagio. I'm glad I tried the Bellagio, but next time I'll be brunching at The Wynn.

Ragin' Rooster pizza from Extreme Pizza, Fillmore, SF.
Kat and I were starving after doing the Lyon St. Steps.. so naturally we decided to grab a post-workout pizza! Bad! But ooooh, so good! ;) We shared this medium and it's actually a lot smaller than it looks in this photo. A medium is about 1 1/2 slices (if you were to order slices there).

Pizza craving, Mythic Pizza, Lower Haight, SF.
Photo posted by Jim L on Yelp.I was at the amazingly fabulous pub quiz at Mad Dog In The Fog, when I got a sudden pizza craving!!! This happens.. semi frequently. Hahah. I ran over to Mythic and grabbed a slice of the "San Francisco". This was recommended to me by a friend and it was all right, but not my favorite. I think next time I want to do a "make your own" with feta, eggplant and sun-dried tomatoes. I don't know about you, but that sounds really yums to me! Haha.
I do have to note one more thing.. they have this big bottle of hot sauce, and I think it's watered down Tapatio. I know my Tapatio and it seemed like it was that, but a lot more runny and when I tried it on the pizza it wasn't spicy so that also leads me to believe that it's watered down Tap. Not cool! Sacrilege! :)

Pizza, beer and a movie with my girls.
Unfortunately, not our best pizzas.. We didn't cook them for long enough, the marinara sauce we used was too watery and the mozzarella was bland, even for mozzarella. :( It was still fun though!
Ginger beer! I thought it was going to be great.. but it was harder than cheap whisky going down--far too gingery. I mixed mine with a little water and it was much more drinkable.
Anyway, we had the pizza and beer and watched The Blind Side. Fun night!
