Pizza pockets and the pocket pie mold.

Doughy dough dough. I added fresh garlic, garlic powder and Italian seasoning.

Fillings: sun-dried tomatoes and peppers.

Marinara sauce, cheddar-jack cheese, peppers and sun-dried tomatoes.

Pizza pockets! A little fresh parm on top.

I decided to do one mini-pizza.

Mmmm.. looks good. I'm going to freeze these!

The uncooked heart mold looked crazy, but it baked well! :) So cute.

Awwwwww. I can't wait to make more heart shaped pies!

Fresh berry salad with poppy-seed dressing.

Mixed greens with mixed berries! And poppyseed dressing.

I remember the first time I had poppyseed dressing it was a spinach salad with sliced strawberry's that Caitie's mom made and I looooved it! :)

Leftovers from Burger Meister, Daly City, CA.

Gardenburger with cheddar, grilled pineapple and sweet potato fries! On the side, is my first homemade ailoi! I used mayo, lemon juice, garlic, paprika and a little black pepper. And it was deliciousness in my mouth! :) I want to make sweet potato fries. They are soooo yummy. This whole burger was very good, too.

Homemade strawberry ice cream.

Sweet cream base.

Lemon zest.

Lemon juice.

Sweetened strawberries.

Whisking the eggs, adding sugar..

Adding the sweet cream and the strawberries.

We ended up chopping up the strawberries and putting it back in here. This was our first time using the Cuisine Art ice cream maker!

Spinning, spinning!

Mmmm! Almost ready..

Scooping it up and then into the freezer for a few hours! So far it tastes great!

This was SO easy! And fun and I'm really excited to make more! I want to try sorbet next. :)

New goodies from Williams-Sonoma.

My roommate got me a gift card to Williams-Sonoma so I picked out a few goodies! I LOVE my W-S silicone spatula so I thought I'd get a matching silicone spoon! And this pocket pie mold was just too cute to resist!

Soooo exciting! I hope they are delicious! :)

Japanese at Oyaji, Outer Richmond, SF.

Yellowtail collar.

This is on the 7x7 list and it was the last one of the day! I'm so glad we snagged it! It wasn't anything to write home about, but it was good.

Yaki OnigiriGrilled rice balls mixed with salmon & bonito flakes and flavored with soy sauce (2/per order)

So I didn't get a photo of it as it was served, but these grilled rice balls were amazing!!! They are like little balls of the Korean crispy rice, 누릉지, that forms when you cook rice too long or in a stone pot. I love crunchy rice! Awww.. these were sooooo good! :)

Beef tongue.

I had beef tongue in Osaka, but it was very thinly sliced and I didn't love it, but this was great. The thicker cut makes it softer and very jucy.

CombinationAssorment of yakitori, tsukune, and vegetable kushiyaki (8 skewers)

Chicken, meatballs, two different kinds of mushrooms and peppers. I would rank these as meatball, mushroom, pepper, chicken, other mushroom. ;)

StirlingShrimp Tempura, Crab, Avocado, Spicy Mayo, Fish Egg, Sesame

I always have to get a roll. ;) These weren't amazing, but not bad either. Also, the rice was a little too stuck together. I don't like when the sushi rice is mushy.

Cha Shu-menJapanese style noodle soup topped with Oyaji toppings plus additional cha-shu

I'm biased and like Korean style ramen a lot more, but this was okay, too. :)

Gindara KasuzukeGrilled codfish marinated in kasuzuke (sake lees) sauce

This was good. I can't really say much more than that, but it was good.

Four of us split all of this food and we were STUFFED! It was all good and the total came to $20/per person. I'd say that's a heckuva deal! And I have to say, we did it right and ordered a very nice mix of food. :)

Late night Chinese at Go Go Cafe, OUter Sunset, SF.

Wrap for the..

Mu-shu pork. I only recently tried mu-shu pork for the first time and it's so fun! I love making yummy wraps and I think this would be pretty easy to make, too! I'll def have to try it. :)

Thousand layer pancakes. These were very yummy!

Combination chow-mein.

The food here isn't anything super special, but it's a good place and it's open late!

Comfort bites at Timbuk2's 20th Anniversary party, Potrero Hill, SF.

Timbuk2's 20th Anniversary was wonderful! Seriously, soooo much fun.

The anniversary edition SF street map Timbuk2 bags. We LOVE.

And, of course, the food and drinks! Haha, it was great--they had little PB&Js with chips and with bananas. They were delicious. And then they had cookies and chips and watermelon wedges and carrots and mozzarella sticks and all sorts of yummy things! Haha. The drinks were way good, too. Great food makes for a great party, right?

Shaved asparagus alfredo rotini on a bed of asparagus.

Another awesome photo. ;) Haha.. This is the water boiling, and the pasta and shaved asparagus cooking. I was experimenting with shaved asparagus and thought it might overcook, but it was fine.

My roommate decided she doesn't alfredo sauce so she gave me hers from Trader Joe's. It's actually really good for store bought. I just added some black pepper and garlic salt.

I also cooked some asparagus with just a little bit of butter to lay the pasta on and then topped the pasta with a little parm.

Olive Garden with P, Daly City, CA.

We love Olive Garden's bottomless salad. :)

Oh, beloved breadsticks.

Tour of Italy. I just got the salad, but stole a couple bites of Paul's lasagna and chicken parm and they were both very good. Probably the best Taste of Italy I've tried.

So yeah, P and I went super suburban! Whoohoo! Haha. P hadn't been to the Olive Garden in a few years! YEARS! Which, I think is great and crazy and the same time. We kinda grew up going there I guess, because there were/are only so many places in Spokane. And the one in Spokane is a bit nicer than others. But yeah, anyway, this was one of the better Olive Garden's I've been to. :)
