Lunch with C at Muracci's, Financial District, SF.

Katsu curry with brown rice.

Not my favorite. I think it was too hyped up for me. Also, the rice was a little bit dry and the sauce isn't as thick or flavorful as I would have liked. Still, it was good to try and I wouldn't not go back. ;)

Potluck dinner at Fred's, Inner Richmond, SF.

I didn't realize it would be a pre-Thanksgiving dinner, but there was definitely a turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, and gravy, amongst other dishes. :)

Well, the cake wasn't exactly for me, but it works! ;)

Miller's East Coast West Delicatessen, Russian Hill, SF.

Old-fashioned chicken noodle with matzo ball soup.
Pat is a sucker for chicken noodle soups. I liked the matzo balls, soft and yummy.

Reuben on Dutch crunch.
Mmmmmmmmmmm. Huge juicy sandwiches. Not Ike's, but very good for east coast deli sandwiches.

I love that I stepped off the plane from NYC to come eat at this east coast style delicatessen! New favorite spot in SF. Haha.

Venezuelan at Caracas, Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

Ensalata mixta.

La vegetariana AREPAS!! Ashley and I shared this wonderful vegetarian sampler. So so so yum! I don't love tortillas and I don't super love the arepa bread either, but I definitely like it better than tortillas. The stuffing in pita would be heaven though. ;)

Venezuelan food is a must in NYC though. I can't believe I haven't found a place in SF yet.

Once Upon a Tart, SoHo, NYC.

Lemon tart. :)

Brazilian brunch at BarBossa, Nolita, NYC.

This was some crazy Brazilian french toast contraption.. bread with an over-easy egg, some sort of tomato sauce and these super tasty sausage slices.

Westville East, East Village, NYC.

Westville does this amazing thing where you can choose 4 sides for $13. BRILLIANT. And there are about 20 to choose from and they all sound amazing, so it's super difficult to choose! :) I got: lemon asparagus with parmesan; pesto mashed potatoes; fried plantains with feta; sweet potato fries. SO SO SO SO GOOD. I want to eat here always!

Bassetts Ice Cream! Mint chocolate chip, coffee and strawberry. Soooo creamy and tasty.

Coconut water, NYC.

I haven't seen this outside of NYC, but it needs to be. It's yummy and healthy. Very light.

Schwarma sandwich at Oasis, Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

OMG SOOOO DELICIOUS.

Drinks and dessert at Abe & Arthur's, Meatpacking District, NYC.

French toast bread pudding with bourbon style maple syrup and butter-pecan ice cream.

Absolutely yum.

We love champagne.

AR has great friends in NYC because she's fabulous. We were seated right away and treated to complimentary champagne and desserts! So fun! Abe & Arthur's is definitely hot right now in NYC.
