Paula Deen's strawberry sorbet.

4 cups of chopped strawberries..

Pureed with lime juice. :)

Mixed with simple syrup and light corn syrup. It will look frothy, but will change into...

A nice bright, slurpee texture after about 15 - 20 minutes of ice cream maker magic. :) Such a lovely color.

Two scoops of delicious! Thanks, Paula. :) It's actually more of a bright red, but the lighting right now is eh.

Ingredients:
  • 2 cup sugar
  • 2 cup water
  • 4 cups strawberries, sliced
  • 1/4 cups lime juice
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
Recipe:
  1. Make a simple syrup by bringing the sugar and water to a boil. Let the sugar dissolve completely. Let cool.
  2. Puree the strawberries and lime juice in a food processor.
  3. Pour the pureed strawberry and lime mixture into a large bowl. Mix in the corn syrup with a whisk.
  4. Once the simple syrup has cooled, mix it into the strawberry mixture.
  5. Pour mixture into ice cream maker and leave on until ready. It should change from a frothy consistency to more of a bright slurpee texture. It will still be a little soupy.
  6. Freeze for at least 4 hours or overnight.

  1. I would sooo love to make this, but I have yet to buy an ice cream machine. If you keep posting recipes like this, I think I'll bite the bullet and get one haha. :) Love your blog Lily!
